Anargyros Gkogkidis is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly. During his undergraduate studies, interesting results emerged from his research work. Recognition of his research work includes innovative concept distinctions in national competitions (third place in student competition for best business idea in ECESCON10), and internationally (finalist in Microsoft Greek Imagine Cup 2017 final), first place in IEEE Mind the Gap 2017 international competition to bridge the generational gap, announcements at Pan-Hellenic conferences and an international, peer-reviewed conference. His research has also received funding from the EPICS in IEEE program. He is a researcher at Intelligent System Lab (iSL) of the University of Thessaly in Lamia, member of IEEE, member of the creative team A2rTEST and member of the research teams AuDi-o-Mentia and BUG@LUTH. His research interests are in the research and development of special-purpose microprocessors, with the aim of accelerating the execution of algorithms in the field of bioinformatics and machine learning, using Blockchain technology to secure transactions between smart devices with the development of Smart Contract.
