The European project i2X (Intelligent Implementations of the European EHR Exchange Format – EEHRxF) officially kicked off with its first working meeting in Lisbon. The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Thessaly, under the scientific supervision of Assistant Professor Haralampos Karanikas, is actively participating in the project consortium as the lead of Work Package Two, which focuses on innovative artificial intelligence tools for supporting Electronic Health Records (EHR).

The mission of the i2X project is to demonstrate how the innovative application of the European format (EEHRxF) can support the interoperability of electronic health records and the use of health data. The consortium comprises 38 partners from 12 EU countries, with the aim of making health data truly interoperable across borders.
