Curriculum vitae
Maria Sapounaki received her BSc degree from the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly in 2019, and MSc degree in “Informatics and Computational Biomedicine", a jointly Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program, University of Thessaly, in 2021. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly. Her doctoral dissertation is entitled “Low power and area efficient neuromorphic system”. Her research interests focus mainly on low power and area neuromorphic circuits and spiking neural networks. During both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she was mainly occupied by programming languages (Python, MatLab and VHDL) while she extenslively used Arduino and FPGA boards. Also, she is a researcher of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (University of Thessaly, Lamia), a member of IEEE and a member of the A2rTEST creative team. Lastly, she has served as a lab instructor at the courses Programming I and Numerical Analysis, in the Department of Mathematics of University of Thessaly.
