Dimitrios Kavalieros was born in Athens city, Greece. He holds a Diploma Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (1996) from the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Central Greece, a Certificate of Education and Teaching Adequacy (2005) from the ASPAITE Volos, Greece, and an M.Sc. (2014) Quality Assurance from Hellenic Open University. He also holds an M.Ed. (2018) Information Technology and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education from the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly, Greece, and a Diploma (2021) in Computer Science at the Hellenic Open University (HOU). Additionally, he is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly, Greece, and a coordinator of the Apprenticeship Team of Regional Directorate of Primary & Secondary Education of Central Greece, and Professor of Secondary Technological Education.
His research interests are focused on automatic control systems and robotic systems. He is currently a researcher for a Hybrid Functional Electrical Stimulation System and Robotic Exoskeleton (FesRob). He has published 2 articles in international journals, specifically in the AASCIT Journal of Education and the Greek magazine New Teacher online.
He is a Member of IEEE since 2019 and of AASCIT Journal of Education since 2017. He is a reviewer for the Greek magazine New Teacher online since 2017.
