Chrysoula Velaora was born in Lamia, Greece. She holds a BSc in Applied Informatics (University of Macedonia 2005) and an MSc in ICT in Education (Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly 2019). She has experience in secondary educational institutes, informatics centers, and primary and secondary schools. As a researcher, she has participated in the Panhellenic Conference on Electronics & Telecommunications PACET (Volos 2019), and the Panhellenic Conference of Informatics for Teachers, PEKAP (Thessaloniki 2019).

Her scientific interests are primarily focused on the proposal of a new gamification approach of teaching the cognitive objects of Logic Design, Python Programming, Computer Architecture, C and Assembly Programming language, Microprocessors, Programming and Electronics and Embedded systems, and finally its implementation in higher education courses with a view to increasing students’ interest in computer engineering and cooperation among them, as well as the development of their creativity and practical ability.
