Welcome to the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISLab) of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of the University of Thessaly, Greece. The members of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory are active in research and teaching in the following subjects: Machine Learning Algorithms, Computer Vision, Intelligent Systems, Evolutionary Computation, Robotics. We focus on cutting edge research with applications in different fields of science and technology.

• Nowadays, challenging real-world problems require the development and coordination of interdisciplinary approaches. Thus, the ISLab members follow a research approach that promotes the development and use of Intelligent Systems for Data Analysis and Information Management.

• We teach courses in the Undergraduate as well as the Postgraduate Program of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of the University of Thessaly, Greece.

• One of the main missions of the Intelligents Systems Laboratory is to conduct basic and applied research in the topics of the laboratory’s subject of knowledge and the publish of the relevant results in prestigious international scientific journals aνd conferences. The research will be based on devise of undergraduate theses, as well as post-graduated and doctoral theses.
